Guavatron, Electric Kif, Tropico Blvd, MiniM: BRILLIANT NIGHT!

On paper, the lineup put together by Guavatron and Floridian Social Club in St. Petersburg looked titanic. The actual show on Friday, December 16 shot several light years beyond that. We will keep words to a “MiniM-um” and let the superb photographs of Chuck Smalling  / Funk Eye Media  and Dan Fer / DJF Workshops: Photography & Multi-Media and the brilliant audio recordings of Marc Foster / St Pete Taper tell the real story. Because it was magic from start to finish.

We had a fantastic time at the Rise N’Shine Reggae Sunday at Cage Brewing this past Sunday! The event is was hosted by Goatfish Productions and it was a really special event. We started at 4pm and sound checked with Is This Love by Bob Marley, our first time performing that song, it was chill and it really helped us gauge the room. We managed to perform a few reggae covers that were really well received. It let us know that we are riding a good wave, and get ready for a few new reggae originals that we are cooking up! Dan’s mom was in the audience and so was Kaimesha’s , Michelle. We played Scarlet Begonias for her once we were told it was her birthday. Great jams and the boys of Guerilla Panic and Propaganjah brought a great show!

Unfortunately we did not record this show, however Don swears it was an amazing show. We will have to hope that was the case.

Dunedin Brewery, Dunedin, FL. 1/18/19

We couldn't wait to return to Dunedin Brewery after our first show of the year there! We had a Ringside show between this gig and we were ready to come in hot with a high energy show!

Between Bluffs KILLED IT! They brought a great indie-rock sound with a progressive edge, there were times where I got hints of Tool and Porcupine Tree. Absolutely GRATEFUL we got to share the stage with them!

Dunedin Brewery and its clientele have a great energy and you can tell they are there for the music and the vibe so if you are playing there, you better bring it!

Funky D arrived and asked if he could join in on a song, which ended up being "Loose Legged Woman" and after that the energy in the room got really high and we cruised through the show having a great time! The surprise of the night was definitely Drugs at the end when we say that we are going to encore with a "short" song and end up with a 12 min jam.
